Jebel Khasch Hike

Jebel Khasch Hike

Jebel Khasch

Moderate hike at a high ridge hike in the southern valleys of the protected area.

Day 1:
Our representative will meet you at the Wadi Rum Visitor’s Center and assist in your transfer to Rum Village, or we meet you at the Rest House in Wadi Rum village when you come with your own transfer or taxi.
Here you will meet one of our professional trekking guides.
With your guide, drive south through the largely deserted southern valleys of the Protected Area’s Wilderness Zone to Jebel Khasch, a high ridge stretching east to west for several kilometers. Walk along the top of the ridge for three to four hours, admiring the views of Wadi Rum to the north and Saudi Arabia to the south.
This is a magnificent and popular walk along a safe, clearly marked path.

Descend from the ridge and your guide will find a comfortable spot for a late lunch before heading back to our fixed camp, located close to Jebel Al Qattar at the edge of the Wilderness Zone.

At our fixed camp, you may go for a wander in the nearby cliffs, watch the sunset or relax around a campfire, before enjoying a traditional Bedouin dinner with tea. After dinner, conversation often lingers late around the campfire, as we gaze up at the magnificent night sky.
Your guides can also be convinced to share traditional Bedouin music and stories…

Day 2:
After breakfast, we will escort you back to Rum Village for transport onward to your next adventure!
